Car Trouble
Came out of work tonight and the car wouldn’t start. My wife was near by, so she came and collected me and we went and bought a tow rope. We then attempted to tow the car which proved to be a disaster.
After about 5 minutes, neither of us were prepared to risk towing the whole way home. We pulled over at a set of shops. A man walks past and asks us if we are OK. I give the usual bloke response, “Yeah, Yeah, car won’t start, but we’ll be alright.”
“I’ve got some jump leads, I’ll go get them. I only live over there.”, he said. He came back with the jump leads very quickly. As he was connecting them up I said, being the positive Christian, “I don’t think this will work”. I turned the key and the car started straight away. We were so happy - and thankful. God is good.

I thought all the snow melted. Praise the Lord for answered prayer.

Oh goodness, I’ve had awful experiences towing vehicles as well. They’re just calling out for a new disaster!
Jump leads! That’s a new one. I love it though. We Southerners call ‘em Jumper Cables if I’m thinking of the same things. I find out cultural dialects very interesting!

I think they’re the same thing.
“Jumpers” over here means sweater or pullover (as in clothing).
I don’t know how this came about.

Hey, 1ofHis, there’s no snow here… it’s just my car is quite old and needs that little extra care and attention!

Wow we don’t use sweaters or pullovers in the deep south, HAHAHA.

Just watch yourself! The way the world’s weather is going these days you could get some snow one day! Get your wife some wool and knitting needles now so she can practice knitting you woolly jumpers. Haven’t you seen “The Day After Tomorrow“??
