My Picks - Dove Awards 2008

I managed to get home last night in time for some Dove Award performances.  I wish I could have been there.

If it were down to me, out of the nominees:

  • John Foreman would have won Vocalist of the Year.
  • Rush of Fools might just have snatched Pop Album of the Year.
  • Oh! Gravity would have got best Rock Album of the Year.
  • All Of The Above would have got best Worship Album of the Year.
  • Everlasting God would have got best Worship Song of the Year.

    i tend to agree with you mostly on these things.

    but…you really think rush of fools is that good?

    i heard some live stuff of them…..

    Hi Tyler… I’m not sure, which is why I say they just might have snatched it. I have the Altar and the Door album and it has a couple of cracking songs on it like East To West, Every Man, All Because Of Jesus, and Prayer For A Friend.

    You know, I’m going to scrap that first line above, because I haven’t really listened to the Rush Of Fools album all that much either.

    What’s the story behind All Because Of Jesus? Who wrote it? How come Fee is also singing it?

    steve fee wrote it. casting crowns covered it on their album. such an awesome song.

    rush of fools is just ok to me…there are a lot of bands out there like them, they just had one song that hit the radio and did well.
