Producing Sheet Music

Hi everyone, some friends of mine need to produce sheet music of songs they have composed.  What software package do you guys use?

Preferably the package should allow them to input the notes using a keyboard, rather than pointing and clicking notes on the sheet itself.

I’ve passed along a link to Finale Allegro, only because I’ve heard people mention it before.

What are the alternatives?

Finale Songwriter is cheaper than Allegro, & probably will allow most everything a songwriter would want to do. (I think it’s $40-50). :)

I use Sibelius, since my school paid for it. It’s not cheap, but it’s awesome. It does anything you want it to do.
