Worship Conferences in 2008

I would like to attend some worship conferences this year. If you know of any worthwhile conferences that would be a drive or short flight from the North Carolina area, let me know…

If you don’t come to recreate you will make lots of bloggers cry.

Guys, thanks so much for the info.

Recreate looks good - but $600 just for the conference is steep when I have flights, accommodation and car hire on top of that… looks like you might be crying Chris!

I’m not an “active” worship leader right now as I’ve just moved out here, so any conference will be funded out of my own little pockets.

Amanda found another great one here

    Hey Mate,

If they do it again in 2008, I’d go to the Hillsong United conference in Orlando. It’s a 2-day event that was dirt cheap ($55 conference fee!) and you’ll learn more by observation in the worship sessions than you would at any other week long conference.

Sorry Bridget - I’m a Calvary guy but their worship conferences have a reputation for not being the greatest if your church is into a progressive style of worship…

  7. snowjunkie Says:

Thanks Jeff. I couldn’t find anything about whether they are doing it again in 2008. Found the 2007 page here.

  8. Paul J. Says:

For the past six years, we’ve been alternating between Willow Creek and Saddleback. I guess they’re the 600 pound gorillas of worship conferences.
When they announce their 2008 schedule, you should probably check out Seminars4Worship…they’re always well done and affordable…maybe one near you in ‘08

Anna and I are going to re:create for the first time next month, looking forward to it.

  9. Chris Says:

I just remembered that someone sent me some info last week about a conference called “Transforming Culture” that’s happening in April in Austin, TX. Looks like it’s designed for artists & pastors to attend together - my senior pastor and I are talking about doing this one.

Thanks again guys… you’ve all been very helpful.

  11. Holland Davis Says:

You should check out the Worship Life Conference July 10 - 12. It’s been going on for over 15 years and is put on by a number of Calvary Chapels on the west coast. This year the theme is “OneThing Remains” talking about being empowered by the love of God to serve. It’s a great conference for modern churches and small developing churches. We try to have something for everyone. Technology For Worship is doing their technology Paviliion. Everyone that comes gets a free resource CD with new worship songs, charts, powerpoint, etc. Register at worshipconference.org. Info will be up by February.
