Vance Birthplace!

Mountain pioneers built their cabins in the high valleys and coves of western North Carolina. The Vance family pioneer homestead is nestled in picturesque Reems Creek valley, shadowed by the mountains of the Blue Ridge. Members of this family included five outstanding men of character, each of whose lives was marked by service to the people of North Carolina in local, state, and national capacities.

    You should go to Vance Birthplace between 4 to 7pm on Sunday December 9, 2007. There is a candle tour that day. I will be working that day too.

    The Vance Birthplace is out near me! :) By the way, if you are looking for a worship job, our church is going to be searching for a new worship pastor soon, though I don’t know the details… they’re discussing having two part-time people since we have both a trad. hymn service & a contemporary service…… :)
    Glad my blog post earlier could be of some comfort–I love it when God works even through these blogging things we do. :)
    Maybe we’ll meet one of these days–do you ever play/like Irish trad music? :D

    Asheville/Boon is like three hours away from me here.

    I do like the odd bit of Irish traditional music. My (English) wife won’t let me listen to it that often though. It drives her nuts!
