Prayer

Tuesday, October 30th, 2007

Update: Nathan is much better now. Thanks for all your prayers! God is good!

Nathan woke up today with a red rash on his face, arms and legs and his skin is hot to touch. We think (as does the pharmacist) that it’s some kind of allergic reaction to something he’s eaten or had to drink. All the same, your prayers would mean a lot to us.

Finding Financial Freedom

Tuesday, October 30th, 2007

We attended a great seminar tonight over at New Horizon Church called “Finding Financial Freedom”.  It was all about managing your finances from a biblical perspective, getting out of debt and staying out of it.

It was a very useful two hours packed full of spiritual and practical information.  The tools provided (spreadsheets, etc) are excellent and available for download from their dedicated website - http://www.nhcgoodsense.com.

Say a little prayer…

Monday, October 29th, 2007

UPDATE:  Nathan is all better now.  Thanks for your prayers.

Please say a little prayer today for Nathan. A red burning rash has come up on his skin (face, arms & legs) today. We’re not covered medically yet until the start of the month. Liz called with the pharmacy today to get some treatment. A trip to the doctors could cost in excess of $500.

Even though Almac say they will reimburse this, we struggle with having to pay so much to be told the same thing the pharmacist told us. It would appear it’s something he ate/drank yesterday. We have some medicine and some cream and will keep an eye on his condition.

Your prayers would mean a lot to us.

Craigavon Visitors

Monday, October 29th, 2007

This weekend Manish and Maurice arrived over from Craigavon.  They’ll be staying at the apartment across the road for two weeks.  It will be good to spend some time with them, showing them around (to the good restaurants at least).

The fact that they arranged for me to pick them up at the airport and then jumped into a taxi is another story altogether.

Finding Financial Freedom

Monday, October 29th, 2007

We attended a seminar tonight on “Finding Financial Freedom” over at New Horizon Church.  It was for two hours and the kids were entertained with a DVD during that time.

See the New Horizon Good Sense website for more information and downloads.

We really see these couple of years (maybe more) in the states as a time of blessing - in every way, not just financially.  All the same, it is good to get some good advice on how to manage your finances from a biblical perspective.
