Don’t forget to get over to Phil’s blog today and download the free live album - not available anywhere else!
My top referrers for the month of July are as follows:
Thanks Guys!
I just completed a survey on the Wordpress dashboard tonight. It seems like they may be contemplating adding adverts to our blogs. It seems there will be probably be an paid option for removing the adverts from your site.
To be surprise, at the moment Google ads are displayed to a small number of visitors. I didn’t realize this was happening, but it doesn’t bother me too much as Google ads tend to be unobtrusive.
However, an increase in the adverts might change things. I can not imagine we would have control over what was advertised from our blogs. That does bother me.
I’ve been recently thinking about using the Wordpress software on a self-hosted site. I was trying to think of a good enough reason to go through the hassle of moving everything. This might just be it.
Well, I did it. I met up with that bloke I met online. Everybody warned me not to go. “You get all sorts of people on t’internet these days…”, they said. You do indeed get many people out there pretending to be someone they’re not. Not in this case.
I met up with Ally Simpson and his wife Cherith tonight up at Starbucks in Ballymena.
I can’t remember how we first hooked up online (think it was facebook), but I’ve been reading Supersimbo.net for a while now and bantering with Ally on Twitter. We talked about various things - our backgrounds, why we blog, our current church life and so on.
It was all over too soon. Obviously we could not part without a photo to prove it actually happened.
Just want to say thanks to Aaron for his kind words over on his blog. He asked if he could use one of my videos on his blog. I did not expect him to write so much around it! ![]()
We’ll definitely have to meet up Aaron. You’ll only a couple of hours away after all! Next time I’m near-by I’ll give you a shout. You do the same.
Back in Feburary I posted on reaching my 100th subscriber. Tonight, thanks to Killy429, I now have reached 200 subscribers! Thanks again for your encouragement and support.
I have a competitor on YouTube who keeps taunting me about my subscription numbers. His rate of gathering subscribers is quite amazing since his videos are all about some computer game that only three other people are known to play. I fear he will overtake me very soon unless I get some help. ![]()

Check out my YouTube channel here.
This Sunday we all fly back to Belfast, Northern Ireland to spend five weeks in the UK. I’ll still be blogging, twittering, facebooking, YouTubing, etc. as normal as there is Internet in Ireland now.
We’re really excited about catching up with friends and family after our eight month stretch here in the States. It will be so good to see them all again and it will be nice to attend our church for a few Sundays and get the chance to lead some worship.
We hope to get away for a weekend break to Donegal, or even Bray. We’ll also visit London to spend some time with Liz’s family. I’ll try to get some photos up during our stay.
We will miss North Carolina though - our new friends, the weather, and NHC.
p.s. Liz has a blog now… she just needs a little encouragement to start blogging…
If you are, please come visit my blog. Russia is seriously under represented on my blog statistics map. I’m particularly interested in getting a star right where I’ve placed the yellow/red square… ![]()

Everyone else, how does your map look? Got any sparse areas you’d like to fill?
Update - 24 Jun 2008 - Hooray!
Well, first we had we Axinia who is Russian, but not actually in Russia. So that didn’t count…
but whether she managed to or not, I give her the credit for sending somebody that does!

Rodney contacted me a couple of days back and asked if I would like to link to his blog stereotruth.net. It’s a great site with regular updates on what’s happening right now on the music scene.
I like that the posts are so varied but still keep to the general theme and goal of the site. Recent coverage of American Idol David Cook is good as well.
Here’s a snippet from their About page.
Stereotruth.net is the brainchild of Rodney Miller and Scott Dahlstrom.
Rodney brings a passion for great music, along with 15 years of radio experience focused for the last 5 years on the Christian radio industry.
Scott has been building websites and web-based applications for the past 10 years in Northern California. His employers and clients include small mom-and-pop businesses to Fortune 500 corporations.
Combining the love and knowledge of the web, along with the love and knowledge of Christian music and entertainment, the two partners have created what hopes to be a portal into that world. A one-stop shopping experience for your positive music.
I wish Rodney & Scott all the best with this venture.
